There are no Credit Cards that will cover Liability.
Visa, Amex, MasterCard and Discover will cover Loss Damage Waiver / Collision (CDW/LDW)

Cards that cover CDW/LDW in Israel:
Chase: Sapphire Preferred ($95 annual fee)
American Express Gold $195AF
Discover (accepted in Israel as Diners' Club): More, Open Road, Miles, Motiva (none have annual fees)   Policy link

You must present at the time of rental a copy of your policy or a document from the CC company stating that the insurance coverage applies to Israel . You will still have to purchase 3rd Party Liability, but you will save some shekels and have no deductible for damages.

Visa phone number : 800-VISA-911

Visa does NOT cover:
  • Cadillac Escalade
  • Mercedes GL series (they do cover GLK)
  • Mercedes E class
  • Corvettes
  • Camaro ZL1

AMEX premium will charge $24.95 per rental and they cover:
  • Up to $100K for damage or theft and accidental death or dismemberment coverage ($250,000 for California residents), up to $15,000 for excess medical expenses per person, and up to $5,000 for excess personal property coverage ($15,000 for Florida residents)
  • Any car from Mercedes, pickup trucks, Porsche and 15 passenger vans.
  • There's no need to pay for the full amount with money, even if it's with points or coupon rental and you pay just $2 fees they will still cover you.

Those that do NOT have a credit card insurance, here is an alternative:  https://worldwideinsure.org.

I think Amex coverage is better..pretty sure it costs the fx.

I'm looking for the best insurance on a 30 day minivan rental that will have lots of wear and tear.
I have no regular insurance and the following applicable cards:

spg (i have no prob getting premium protection)
sp mc
sp visa
citi amex
citi wmc (au)

also, a/o know if ari's in lakewood is an official rental agency as far as these insurances are concerned?

IMHO SPG Premium.

Aris should be a legal agency, but I wouldn't be surprised if all his rentals include CDW (Possibly with a deductible).

heres my story:
Every week i rent a few cars under my name with hertz for an organization and i add 2nd drivers on and buy Liability from hertz.
LDW i rely on my CC - which usually is my Chase SP Visa signature card

2 incidents happened a few weeks apart from each other. 2 bashed their cars a bit - one broke the mirror and the other scratched up the whole side and dented a bit.
i never heard from anyone yet, and im wondering how this works. will they call me? will they cover me?
or do i have to call the CC and tell them.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

You have to call the CC company and file a claim. They will tell you all the info that you will need to send in. The rental company will send you a lot of stuff which you will have to send to the CC company. Make sure to have copies of everything you send just in case it gets lost/reference. The process can take very long, but if your on top of it and call to make sure the documents are being sent and received it should speed up the process. This is the experience that I had when making a claim.

IME I called to make sure they started the process. I like to get things done fast. But I can't tell you what happened in your past experience.

You need to look in the T&C, each CC is different.

I was denied a claim because I didn't notify them in time.

how much time after did u try to claim it and what happened, u had to pay all?

it says to call right away in T&C and not later the 45 days after incident.

IIRC you have to open a claim with your CC within 45 days of the incident, (maybe different CC are different).
sometimes for small things it is not wroth for them to run after you and sometimes if the corporate you used has their own insurance (like usaa) they will work it out directly with them.
better to be on the safe side and open a claim with the CC company just in case they will come after you later on.

i once heard that if the rental place dosent contact you within  a certain period of the incident then they lost out. not sure if this is true and if it is how long.

if they do contact you the whole process can take weeks or months to get it done with.
good luck.

there are 2 claims, there is the CC claim that you have to start and you get them to cover you and then the rental company claim that they start and they run after you.

every CC varies, i think SP is $50K
