Anyone know why Olympiacos is ranked so high on 538?  They’re not even the top performers in the Greek league!
No, but just took a quick look, Man City is #1 while Man United fell from the top back to 31.
I was the Best, still the Best, and will always be the Best.
Pele Good,Maradona Better, George Best.

Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

What breaks? The offside on the second 'goal'? Is it a break if it was in fact an offside?

I guess they had a view we didn't see.
How about the missed PK?
They had a ton of scoring opportunities.

They showed it in the broadcast (the red and blue lines). She was a step off.

It wasn't missed, it was saved. And can you explain why White wasn't offside on the play that drew the penalty (which was the correct call assuming onside)? Seemed like she was off on the initial pass, and then only on for the pass to her. I thought anytime you're off and then go on to be involved in the play that's offsides.

I think the biggest break the US has was England's #1 goalkeeper being out. Both goals were not soft per se, but Bardsley may have gotten to at least one of them had she been in goal.

A step? I guess you mean an inch or two.

She miss hit it. No pace and no where near the back post. The goalie still had to make a simple save and bobble it at that.

You can put yourself back onside.

The replay shows about a foot (ie a boot, not 12 in.) - no different than a handful of other VAR offsides in this tournament.
She miss hit it. No pace and no where near the back post. The goalie still had to make a simple save and bobble it at that.
It's not a miss unless it goes wide of goal - no different than shots vs shots on goal stats. Naeher only bobbled because she had to pull her hands in, otherwise it would've hit her in the chin. Was it a poor shot? Of course. But it was certainly better than an actual miss, since if Naeher guesses wrong it's a goal. Instead, she made the save she needed to make, and gets some credit for that.
You can put yourself back onside.
Rewatched, and I see what you mean. I knew I was missing something, since there was absolutely no talk of offside during the review.

One thing we can say for sure, this was not the dominant force many expected the US to be. Ultimately though, they did play just a little better, and it's not like the win was undeserved. Same could be said for both of their other knockout round games to be honest.

I am 100% red, white and blue. All I am saying is if you watched the whole game the breaks went USA way. The main break England got was the PK call and blew it.
