New SWA Rapid Rewards program

SWA announced today the new fare-based FF program.

Base earnings are 6 points per dollar of fare for Wanna Get Away fares, 10 points per dollar for Anytime fares, and 12 points per dollar for Business Select fares.

How happy have people been with the new rr program?
My experience:
1)  i booked 2 tickets LGA-MDW roundtrip for about 11000 points each compared to the other airlines 25000 that's a steal
2) if i would have been willing to go 6:00am both ways i could have gotten for 5200 per ticket
3)i get 2 free pieces per person
4) on the other hand this probably devalues the program for all u west coast people?
5) also, to convert my old credits i need to convert 1200 points into 1 credit for a total of 16 credits for a roundtrip award (i currently have7)     
     based on numbers above tickets would have to get quite expensive to make it worthwhile.

what does everyone else have to say?

well if you want to fly somewhere that costs more then $275 then you can buy 9 more points (to total 16) here http://www.southwest.com/rapidrewards/buy-points for only $275

i just needed one credit or now 1200 points - so i bought 2,000 points for $50. and i have a free roundtrip.

following up on this free RT.
What happens is that if u dont use that reward it expires within a year. but they told me then i can always re-instate it for $50.
anywhoo i never used it, and now over a year later i decided to re-instate it. the problem was that every CSR i spoke to told me it never happened and u cant re-instate such rewards!!
finally one rep gave me a number to dallas HQ and i called and they said "sure no problem!" all i have to do is send them a $50 check in the mail and theyll re-instate it for me
