I’m still so excited about how much progress the NFL has made. The half time show had hundreds of performers yet was 99.9% diverse, accurately representing their audience. Even the lone exception was a diverse-wannabe.
When was hip-hop or rap the headliner of a Superbowl halftime show before? Pretty telling is your "diverse-wannabe" comment.
Don’t remember too much as I have never enjoyed the half time show but the Weeknd headlined just last year. When I said performers I don’t just mean the artists, I mean the dancers and everyone performing at the show.
Something else that is happening in the rightwing circles is their obsession still with this kneeling. Eminem took a knee at the end of his performance. The average viewer didn't even notice or thought nothing of it. The right is trying to make an issue out of it.

I didn’t notice the kneeling. What I do notice is that the NFL seems to overrepresent black diversity in their promo and marketing. It’s too forced and IMHO pushes diversity backwards, not forwards. In regards to coaches, 5/32 HCs are minority, and many minority assistants. I don’t think there’s racism we know about, though they probably can do more to create opportunities earlier in the coaching process. Most hires come from an elite coaching tree, and those usually comprised of people within their network.

Coaches are overwhelmingly former players. What percentage of players are black vs coaches?
The league has already acknowledged there is racism. That is why the rule to interview minorities was put in place.
That the Rooney rule leads to teams interviewing people they never intend to hire is the most obvious thing in the world. Everyone knew it would happen, and everyone knows it is happening. How would you propose ending racism in the hiring process?
