I don't see how you could call their win against SEA crushing. Add to that the terrible field/long cleats theory and you could easily say they were outplayed once they were on a level playing field. And that's why I said it's a shame Palmer crapped the bed. Not that there wasn't plenty of blame to spread around, but he had 6 turnovers, and several of those were horrendous - much more on his bad play than the defense's good play.
I happen to agree that the most likely outcome is that they'll blow DEN out, but I don't think their performances thus far are the strongest indicators.
It was 14-0 after 3 minutes. 31-0 at the half.
They could've went to sleep the entire second half and still won the game.
It's a fact that teams don't play the same way with the lead as they do when they're playing a close game.
Re: Arizona, 7 turnovers, whatever way you look at it, is a big part of CAR's defense. Erase 3 turnovers, 4 turnovers is still a big game for the D.
They put a ton of pressure on the qb, made him throw quickly, make him thread the needle, and they made him pay for bad throws.
How many times do other teams drop easy INT's?
Then the offense was just rolling all night long, there's just too many good things to say about CAR.
