Does anyone think Eli Manning was done two years ago?  He has been terrible both last year and this year. As good as Saquan Barkley has been, huge mistake not drafting a QB. I guess they can draft one next year when they get a top three pick.

Not taking Darnold, who they reportedly liked, was an all-time fail. He should've been fired the next day for setting the franchise back 15 years. Now, with one of the most dynamic WRs & RBs, they remain unwatchable bc they didn't plan for the most important position in sports. Painfully foolish.
(Early reports are that the 2019 QB class is nothing to write home about. Hopefully that changes...)

I dont think eli gave them a choice. After botching the whole thing last season they couldnt anger Eli .

That ain't no way to run a franchise. You think Belichek would make a decision like that?

Oh I agree. And yes the patriots just did the same thing last season. Diffrence is Brady can still play.

It is. Belichek didnt want garapilo gone, brady did.
Brady doesnt care for future of org. Belichek did. They had to differ to face of the organization
Eli didnt want new qb to threaten his job, coaching staff did. Eli doesnt care for future of franchise. Giants made wrong move to avoid upsetting face of org and consequently the fans.
I'm loving hearing the fans boo eli off the field now.

The key is Brady can still play. If you think they sent Garoppolo packing because of Brady even though they still wanted him, that goes against everything Bellichik has ever done

It wasnt bellichiks choice. Read up on it.
Why would they send a young talented qb away when Brady cant have more than 3 years left if hes lucky?

I heard the same thing about Brady not wanting Garropolo around and the problem is that he was LS about to be a free agent so either trade him or give him a big contract.  Patriots were in a dilemma and they could not pay starting money to two QBs.  And I’m free agency, there was no guarantee Garrapolo would return so I think they had to trade him.  Now Belichek got substantially less in the trade because he didn’t want him in his division. That to me is a crime. You are trading him so why settle for a second when someone is offering you a first round draft pick.

In this way, it may be a good comparison even though Brady can still play and Eli can't. It's pretty out there that Kraft forced Bill's hand and I can only wonder if Mara explicitly or otherwise forced Gettlemen's hand as well. But he sounds so stupid when he talks it's hard to say.

Exciting NFL playoffs this weekend with 8 teams remaining.  There doesn't seem to be a dominant team and one of handful of teams can take it this year which makes watching it more exciting.   Any Super Bowl winner predictions?  I'll go with the favorites, Saints over the Patriots in the Super Bowl.  I'm not ready to pick one of these young gun QBs (i.e.:KC, LA, Dallas) to lead them to the promised land.

Wouldn’t you say the Saints right now are a dominant team? One of the best teams in years, with a great homefield

Well Chiefs-Rams would definitely be an exciting game.

We’ve seen that circus, it’s a total embarrasment. Chargers-Saints, on the other hand..
