Give the booing fans a break. It was on the spur of the moment, after they just heard shocking and disappointing news, and all it takes is one fan to start booing for it to catch on without people really thinking about what they are doing. I would guess if you would ask the vast majority of them afterwards how they wish they would have reacted they would say, "standing O".

I hope they get the chance with a nice send off this season.

Borderline penalty at worst. Mitch gets tripped and is falling before hit. Would’ve hit the chest otherwise. Watch in real time and it’s not a late hit either.
