Even in looks the iPhone looks crappie near the S6

That's a matter of opinion.

Before the S6 was announced, some of the top reasons why people on this forum preferred the Galaxy over the iPhone was because of the removable battery and SD slot. Now that Samsung followed the route of Apple (and everyone else), all of a sudden we see everyone here admit these features are not such a big deal to most people.

Makes me ponder what's worse; the technophobic Apple iSheep or the tech savvy, intentionally blind Samsung sheep.

i dunno - there's quite a bit of hate going out toward samsung, at least in this thread.  I'll say it again - I love android, but I am not thrilled with the s5, and will definitely not be getting the s6. Especially since we are now up to 200GB SD cards. Close to 60% of the admittedly small sample in the poll think the lack of SD card is not good. 25% say it's a deal breaker...

What I really don't understand is why an SD card is still a wanted feature on smartphones.
Phones aren't meant to be media servers. But at the same time, why the heck aren't smartphones in 2015 shipping with a minimum of 64gb-128gb? Flash memory is not expensive nowadays, if a company wants an easy edge they should stop being greedy and start shipping phones with a reasonable amount of memory.

The answer to that one is a simple marketing technique: Put two items in front of the customer, one good and one better, and the customer will go for the better one.

They can't justify charging $299 for the phone, but they can justify charging $299 for the "better" model. Notice how Apple cleverly removed the 32gb option...

Apple can get away with it, they're making boatloads of cash already, they may as well continue as people will buy no matter what.
What I don't understand is why the major Android phone makers don't add something so simple and basic as memory, and use it to break loose from the competition.

I would think there is more of a chance now for the active to come to verizon now that the s6 isn't waterproof

Does anyone know how it works if I get it as a phone upgrade with a 2 year contract with Sprint.  Sprint claims I need to pay an additional $25 month access charge to get this phone.  So I'm not sure what I'm really saving with a 2 year contract?  I'm on the 12 gb shared data plan.  I never heard of this access charge.  Does anyone have more info?  Thanks in advance
