I think most people dont use SD cards or swap their battery's (me included), people like to go around with a nice phone today.

No removable battery is the only real dealbreaker for me and I wanted to get the phone. Memory can be played around. My s3 is only useable because I have multiple batteries.

-1,it's a big mix depending on what you do and use it for. I have 100gb of TV and movies in my card at all times, and if I'm not gone it at my desk all day I change the battery at least once a day

The s3 battery life is terrible compared to newer phones.
Any new phone has much better life and you may not need the extra battery. Just saying.
Maybe heavy travelers could use it but you can always get a battery pack.

It seems like it. I love the curve on the note but that phone is a little to big for my liking. I'll wait for the s6 edge.

Yup confirmed no removable cover, SD card slot or removable battery. No water resistant either. What a shame. Who's going to downgrade? No matter how good they claim the battery to be nothing can compare to having a few fully charged ones when traveling.

I'm very pleased that I got the Note Edge and didn't wait for this lump of coal.

I invite all you S lovers to the Note platform. Once you go big you'll never turn back. I've convinced several folks to go note and not one of them didn't get used to it within the 14 day return policy.  They all rave about it.

I might take you up on that.

What a shame they got rid of the removable battery. I haven't necessarily always carried a battery with me while traveling (I'd rather use a power pack), but the ability to swap out a battery after the first one wears out (a year max) and get a fresh start on battery life is a deal breaker for me.

Wait, the edge screen isn't actually a screen like on the note edge?

I have small hands and love it.  I hope the Note line stays with a removeable battery otherwise I might have to buy a spare before they phase out the 4 :(

...unlike the Note Edge doesn’t have dedicated software that occupies the edge at all times. The idea of an “edge screen” is gone, replaced by subtle swipe-in features for launching a quick contact manager and seeing missed calls. Because of the symmetry of the edges you can also configure the swipes to be registered from either edge.

Beyond those simple swipes and a couple of features like a desk clock mode and some notification alerts when the phone is face-down, the S6 edge acts the same as the S6 in all other aspects. The software simply fills the full screen, even the curved parts, and you can do everything with it you would do on the other model.

Seems like its almost like the old "convenience keys" back on the old dumb phones, or sort of an awake version of LG's knock on.  Seems like it might be a bit useful albeit less so than on the note.  All other things being equal, and based on previous years, the note 5 and cousins should be much better, and ill definitely wait on that for the time being.

I have small hands and love it.  I hope the Note line stays with a removeable battery otherwise I might have to buy a spare before they phase out the 4 :(

Me as well, and that has always been my hangup. I had the note 3 for a few days before returning it and I did find it  bit annoying that I couldn't reach the whole screen with one hand. For anyone who can compare, I fit snugly into Medium size latex gloves.

Dunno about latex, but I have size small BR gloves :)

At first it is an annoyance that my hand can't reach the first screen. But the Note 4 has a very easy one handed gesture that shrinks the screen when you need to use it like that.  And it's pretty rare that you need to use it like that.

Try it for 14 days and I'll be very surprised if you don't love it.  I wouldn't wait for the Note 5. Wouldn't be surprised if they go internal battery/memory on that too.
Planned obsolescence is all the rage.
