All the new phones are going that way, 4G over LTE calling.
So is there anything I can do if I'm on page plus?

If PP can't handle advanced calling then the S5 or Note (non-edge) are as new as you'll get without Voice over LTE.

No more phones are being made without that.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

It doesn't seem the edge has any awesome features over the regular.

correct, I went to the store today and tried them both out, the only difference is $100 and the screen. The question is, is that worth $100?

The downside is that you can't get a good case protecting the screen

So here's my 3 hour review (following a few very boring meetings/webinars!)-
Pros-
-It feels like a much better build then it's predecessors
-Awesome, awesome, awesome camera and some really cool modes
-Not too much garbage preinstalled apps and a few of them I was even able to delete
-Excellent finger reader (much better than the s5
-I love that it shows me how long it will take to fully charge. This changes from charger to charger. Now I know which of my dozen chargers are better and which to throw out. Also, I always thought that plugging the USB cord straight into the USB slot in my car will charge the phone faster than charging it through the cigarette lighter. I was wrong. The cigarette lighter (same USB cord is twice more than twice as fast.
-seems faster (although that could be because it is a new phone)
-I love the screen mirroring feature (was it available previously? Could be it was just upgraded). I could see myself using it a lot.
-Did I mention the awesome camera?!

Cons-
-Several of the features that my old phone got when it updated the software to 5.0 is no longer on the s6. For example, when putting the phone onto silent, I used to get the option of not silencing priority callers and apps. I don't see that here (although I may have just missed it). Another thing is that you could no longer see all of the 'shortcut' settings when pulling down the top of the screen, only the 10 out of 19 (or more) that are available. Previously if touch the top right corner, you saw all available 'shortcut settings'.
-It is slipping out of my hand a lot. Could be because I am used to a case. We'll see.
- I will def miss the spare batteries but I think I'll get used to it.

In short, I'm not sure yet if it's worth the upgrade from the S5. I will wait a week or two and then decide if I should keep it.

One thing I forgot-if you press the Home button twice, it takes you to the camera right away, instantly. Even if it is locked.  No loading time. No more telling people to wait a few secs while you go through you apps or even to your home screen and waiting a few seconds for it to load. Love it.

Seems like they stripped down the alarm. Very annoying. I'll research it in the morning and give details. If anybody knows more about this, please advise.

I guess people are more into looks. Don't care that the removable battery is gone.

So I'll probably end up changing routines. From having a spare battery in my pocket to a spare juice pack. The battery just took up so little space.

Not too hard to get used to a different phone using the Android OS.  All I'm saying is if having a removable battery is important there are still options out there.
I for one use a phone that doesn't have a removable battery and am fine with it.

So after a little research, it seems that Samsung screwed up on this and did in fact strip down the alarm. No more smart alarm (where it gives a little 3 minute, prealaarm alert and where you could set it to go off based on location meaning I was able to set my regular early morning alarms to go off only when I'm home but if I'm not, it won't go off). You also can't customize the snooze (how many times it is snoozable, how much time in between each snooze, etc.). Why would they take away such great features?
The good news is that I could download a 3rd party alarm app. It looks like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alarmclock.xtreme.free is a very good one.
