Thanks. It just dawned on me that I had a Dollar/Hertz rental in June of 2017 and my RR points expired that July. So I'm going to see if crediting Dollar/Hertz will work. I'll report back.

My UA miles expired in Dec. 2017, I was 8 days too late to shop via MPX. I did a thrifty rental in July 2017. Can i revive the miles? TIA for any help.

I also stayed for a night at La Quinta in Aug. 2017 - that reservation was on orbitz.

Update: Dollar/Hertz sent me an automated email stating the miles will be posted to my Southwest account. BUT the wording has me worried that it isn't backdated, which is obviously what I need. "There were XXX miles/points/credits processed for Rental Agreement number XXXXXXXXX for the Southwest Airlines program on or around 04/12/2018." Really hoping that means processed on 4/12/18 and not that their reporting the rental date as 4/12/18.
Will update when the points hit Southwest.

My Southwest points were reinstated last night, only took a few days from the notification that Dollar/Hertz had submitted my credit to Southwest.

Looking to buy a receipt that will reinstate my miles.

Question- officially you can only claim miles that were from the past 6 months-are the airlines strict about that policy usually?
Second- How much time do they give to be able to reinstate miles ? Is there a time period when its too late?
