I got a parking ticket because i didnt realize that you need a parking pass where i parked.I know that usually the rental agency (in ths case Avis) gets the ticket off after giving the papers showing that it was a forign driver however they (avis) charge a $25.00 fee for the trouble.
Anyone know how I can get rid of it before they even send it to Avis?

do you know this for a fact? iv'e been pushing off dealing with mine (tel aviv parking ticket) cuz i heard i can just ignore it? also an avis rental.

If u pay it they shouldn't send it to Avis

you can ignore it because avis will just take it off your card plus handling fees. no inconveniences of actually having to pick up the phone

I've had the folks in the Dan lounge in TLV take care of both of my Israeli parking tickets (100 and 200 NIS respectively) from 2 different trips.

Whether I should've paid I don't know but I just gave the lounge lady my CC number and they took care of it for me.

u can call yourseld and pay with your cc if u dont happen to be in the Dan lounge

It was worth it for you to pay just to get the maximum benefit out of the lounge

they cant forward the ticket to ur cc
they might charge ur cc a handling fee though

Just to inform the oilam - and please, if you intend on ripping me send it via PM - I've gotten about 5 parking tickets in Toronto on Avis cars which were all subsequently charged to my AMEX, disputed them all, and got refunded on all of them.
