Trying to book two nights at the park hyatt in paris (august 15-17) and when i try to book them together it says no availablity and when i try and book them seperately it works. Why is this happenening? Should I just book them seperately?
Are you booking with points?

Thanks. It worked. She said it had to be made as 2 separate reservations and merged which she did for me. She sai it was a great choice to use my free rooms on. I know that-they are $800 a night rooms. Thanks again

I just found that there is availability Lga to Iad and called co to change my flight and they said they couldnt do it because they couldn't split my Ewr Iad Cdg flight (she called her supervisor who said it wasn't possible because it's a merit route and they can't split the reservation) and I will lose my Iad Cdg flight if they try. Is there anythin I can do about this?
Thanks for your help

I have the following options. I am currently on booked EWR-IAD-CDG in business first. When I first booked they said it was a 50 minute connection. Now it is a 37 minute connection. Is this too tight?
I have a couple of options for rebooking-
The EWR-CDG is available in economy. I can do plan B but what are the odds of actually getting a business first seat?
Also, the IAD-CDG flight is now available in business first so I can change my flight to LGA-IAD-CDG but the only available flight LGA-IAD leaves me with almost a 5 hour stopover.
What do you reccommend?
Thanks

Date of travel?
37 minutes is too tight IMHO for EWR-IAD.

I know someone who had a similar situation where originally he booked an hour layover and then i switched to a half hour so he called and they agreed to rebook him on flights which didnt have award availability because the flight times changed. It was with co miles flying mia-yyz-tlv and then switched to fll-ewr-tlv.

+1.
37 minutes is below the legal MCT (minimum connect time) in IAD so CO should reaccomidate you on another flight even if there is no award availability.

Sure, if you push hard enough you should find a rep that may put you direct.
May take a few calls to different departments.

Good link for having CO call you:

So it is 35 minutes in your case, I stand corrected.

However I would still be uncomfortable with a 37 minute connection for any flight leaving EWR.
Try arguing that you've missed tight connections in IAD in the past and see if they'll work with you to get you on a better flight or even open up a flight without mileage avaialbility.

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!
Switched to the direct flight ewr-cdg in business/first
Thanks for the click to talk link. It's unbelievable-they put you right through instead of the estimated 20 minute wait time by calling them.
