:P You know it's easier to be in J with a baby than Y.
If anything there's more anxiety in J/F.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

More comfortable sleeping position.
You can't just leave a baby on a bed with a seatbelt 5 times its size.

Why's that?
My sister got the HI glitch and said she can't imagine having made that trip with her 2 year old not having his own pod.

Congrats
Thanks!  8)

true, but you can create a contained play area on the floor in front of a window seat with the aisle seat in the bed position, and he can't run away, like my kids always do on planes. can't do that in coach.
Great Report so far!

Business or coach ?
Coach with his own seat...
The problem is that he rarely sleeps anywhere besides his own crib... occasionally he sleeps in his car seat as long as the car is moving (highways+ extended time)...

If he would sit and play anywhere then that would be an option... nah I'm afraid he is just the restless type.. *lucky me* ::)

Coach
Bingo. When he's up he probably wants to go down & crawl but the stewardesses don't want him blocking the aisle. Basically you're stuck holding him the whole time.

to be honest I am not entirely sure.. it is just a perception..
(as i said i'm open to trying it with him)
there are long standing debates on this (don't have an exact source handy, but have definitely read multiple articles about it)

Not in reverse herringbone as most J classes are today.

Because CX doesn't allow RF carseats in F or any carseats in J and I didn't do my research beforehand.
Any turbulence and he'd have gone flying out=Mimi didn't sleep the entire flight.

Why is that ?
Is it not obvious?
There's a lot worse stares from everyone in J/F if your kid cries than in Y.

I'm not saying that makes it worth flying Y, but it's not all roses.

Not that Y's don't give looks (and snide comments on one occasion!!)

J is better for lap child bc if I am more comfortable holding him then he is more comfortable and might actually sleep, although I do hear the anxiety

Try it 12 hours in Y. You'll get the same horrible stares just from many more people. Once the lights go off all those people expect to sleep just as much as the people in F.

But they paid for Y, so who give a cr@p.
In J/F people have an expectation of being able to sleep.

If your kid will sleep on top of you, more power to you. Doesn't happen for us.
