Doesn't "suggested" mean you could pay 0 & walk in ?

But is it a suggested donation, or a "suggested donation"?

If it says suggested you don't gotta pay anything. Just get used to the look you'll get when entering.

I vaguely recollect this being discussed on the forums a long time ago.
I'm not who you think I am.

Slightly OT, but didn't know where to post this.

If a Museum charged a pricey "suggested donation" entry fee, can I pay half and gain entry. Or will they turn me away/treat me like a cheapskate?
if you pay half that's pretty generous. you could give as little as you want.

I don't plan on not paying, but $20+ when I'm going to spend an hour at one exhibition is overpriced IMHO.

If it was mentioned here previously, TimT would've linked to it already :P

So if I've paid the full suggestion in the past I'm a sucker? The way you put it, it sounds like they don't expect most people to pay the suggested amount...
