Porting number from one sprint account to next
« on: January 01, 2011, 09:46:06 PM »
Hey, I just signed up for the new Sprint Referral plan. I have a pre-existing sprint account.

What can anyone suggest is the best way to transfer the old numbers to the new account. Sprint was kind enough to give a 60$ credit to cover the time it takes to do this.

I have heard of using T-mobile pay as you go, is this the best option? do I have to buy a T-mobile phone?

Thanks anyone for the help, I truly appreciate it.

Happy New Year,
Josh

wouldn't it be cool if sprint can just do it on their own...? I guess that would make too much sence for them...

Wait, is it really Yitzter? Welcome back to DDF :)

Why would you have to buy a phone? All you have to do is buy a SIM.

I guess you'd need a phone to use in the meantime if you wanted to receive calls while the number rings to T--Mobile.

Whatsup Asher. Long time.

Anyway, any Tmobile store has the 10 dollar prepaid SIM cards?

I just got my EVO, looking forward to using it.

Thanks guys.

Does anyone know how long I should wait after moving my old sprint number to Tmobile before calling sprint again and transferring it back?

Thanks.

I have a PP Dealer account, and can take care of it for you. You don't really need another phone as PP does not verify the ESN. However, just to be safe I would recommend that it actually be transfered onto a phone. I can do it all for you.
Port-ins usually clear within the hour. You'll know it when your sprint phone stops working.

You get a commission even if he ports right out?

(can't help the curiosity...)

You only get a comission if its activated on a PP branded phone and it stays on that phone for 30 days? (I would be putting it on a non PP phone)
I don't deal with PP branded so no comission :(

You're a champ for helping Yitzter out.

I have a lot of respect for Yitzter, he's 3 UID's 'older' than me ;)
