Lounge near EL AL's gate in EWR

It appears  that the delta sky-club is the closest one that is past security to EL AL's gate, however when I go to lounge buddy it says that

"NOTE: This lounge is open to American Express Platinum cardholders when flying with Delta. If you utilize the "create trip" option, the lounge should show up as "free."

What does that mean?
