Sprint simply unlimited: worth giving up my grandfathered SERO?

i have two phones on what used to be the $30 SERO, but became $50 after two upgrades. Im going to upgrade to iphone 6 and 6 plus on friday and i see sprint has a $50 unlimited talk text and data plan. is there any reason not to switch it?

So it will cost you $70 a month- not $50. So you are paying $480 for you iphone for 2 years.
And then the way I understood it you get a new iphone after 2 years by turning your old one in, but maybe not.
Either way. I guess it depends on how many minutes you need a month.

I'm not looking to stick to sprint, basically I wanna change to a data plan (my plan has no data),

And even without the data there are plans out there for about the same price which gives me unlimited T&T (my wife went over the 1000 limit plenty of times),

So if my plan is upgradeable to a good plan which isn't offered to new customers then it might be worth to keep it, that's what I'm trying to find out.

I was on the Sero 500 with 500 anytime min unlimited text and data for a dumb phone. I spoke to a rep. who said they just added a Sero unlimited plan for $40/month +tax for basic phones. I'm sick off calling in to add buckets of minutes; so I upgraded to the unlimited minutes plan.

!st of all its only with existing Sero customers. Its unlimited data for a basic phone only.
