Yup. Except this is a very, very limited target group. AMEX will definitely be studying this to see whether they make money (e.g. domestic economy redemptions) or lose money (e.g. international premium redemptions). If the former, they'll roll it out. If the latter, this goes in the garbage bin.
I guess that UA/AA need to have availability in order to book it with Amex points?
