Did they ask you for your AA number when applying? I've read the only way for them to deposit the miles from the checking promo is for you to have a Citi AA card. They match up the SSN from the checking account to your AA card and your AA number and deposit the miles that way.

From the terms: "At the time the AAdvantage® bonus miles are to be credited to your AAdvantage® account, your Citi® / AAdvantage® credit card account and the new Regular Checking account you opened in an eligible account package must all be open and in good standing."

Think so, wouldn't recommend abusing it though. Only ever tried with Citigold + promotion before, but I don't see why it would be any different normally. They will surely shut you down if you do multiples.

Multiples meaning multiple citi checking yeah? Got it.

Can you/anyone confirm is Chase visa for this purpose a purch not ca? Would expect purch as when I just funded pnc with Csp.

I called Citi bank cc for AA and they said it would code as CA because its a like cash purchase
