Long story short, my wife had fraudulent activity on a debit card.
We called discover who issued provisional credits for all fraudulent charges, but then they retracted most of the credits because I didn't send in an affidavit (that they never asked for), and a few of the refunds became permanent credits.
When I did send in the affidavit listing the total amount defrauded as requested on their form, as well as a bank statement with all fraudulent charges marked, they proceeded to issue a single credit for the total amount of all fraudulent charges -- some of which had already been correctly credited.
I sent them an SM explaining what had happened:
Hi,I submitted an affidavit testifying about fraudulent charges that had been made on my account by mail, and on x/x/xxxx I received a credit of $xxxx.xx which was the total amount for all the fraudulent charges that were made.I did previously receive reimbursement for some of the charges -- actually all of them were reimbursed with provisional credits but most of the provisional credits were reversed -- and I believe that if my calculation is correct, the amount that remained to be refunded was $xxx.xx which means that I received an extra $xxx.xx in the credit on x/x/xxxx. Of course I would be happy to keep the additional credit :-) however I felt it would be proper that I point out the apparent miscalculation so that there are no misunderstandings.Thank you for your help.
Sincerely....

Sincerely,
I feel like I did my bit, and am not interested in more phone calls with their so-far-not-so-impressive CS dept (ulike disc CC who have been excellent IME) and waiting on hold. I told them about their error and gave them the chance to rectify it.
I am not looking for moral/halachic rulings here, B"H I have a very competent Rov who has outstanding yiras shomayim and clarity of mind. I know many on here do too, but he already got the position, so sorry about that :-).
My question
is, if I let it go and do not force the issue of the additional $194.32 credit that they issued, are there likely to be any repercussions?
I pointed it out to them, so I obviously did notice that it happened, but I also made an effort to correct the situation and they wanted more effort that I dont feel inclined to invest. Because this credit was applied as a one time single credit -- probably by the person who read the affidavit I sent in and did not look up my bank account records --as opposed to the original provisional credits that were linked to the original charges etc. I doubt it is likely they will ever pick up on it.
Thoughts?
