Followed by lunch?!!  What were you eating before?

hahaha thats what I was wondering when I googled it.

Herring-Scotch-Kugel-Cholent-Kishke-Hard Salami-Chopped Liver followed by Lunch.

That is my Shabbos ritual. I love it.

May I ask what you east for lunch?

That solely depends on the wife. Pastrami/corned beef/deli roll/some sides/some dips. You know, the typical shabbos food :)

Best Herring

I know this is completely off topic, but it's @Redbull3 's thread and I have a direct question for him, so I'm posting it here.

I see you've reviewed a lot of herrings recently. I'm just wondering what are your favorites.

More specifically, if I want to buy two or three containers for Shabbos, and I want a variety that my guests will really enjoy, which brands/flavors should I buy?

I have no qualifications to answer this lol but since you asked, I seriously like the first one I reviewed, if you are in queens at seasons mechy's texas style, I have gotten it multiple times since then! That one and "spicy oneg shabbas" by schwartz's are my 2 faves right now. I am a fan of Schwartz's, probably my favorite brand. Everyone has different opinions so if hosting a bunch of people I would get 3-4 very different kinds to be safe (one creamy, one spicy, one sweet, and maybe one interesting/out there type), totally depends on your audience though

Thanks!

So the moral of the story is: 20 years and 25 herring brands later, Schwartz still remains at the top of the game.
