Everyone has different opinions so if hosting a bunch of people I would get 3-4 very different kinds to be safe (one creamy, one spicy, one sweet, and maybe one interesting/out there type), totally depends on your audience though

I actually prefer Shloimy's oneg shabbos over Schwartz's, it's thicker.
Schwartz's is way too runny

Haven't tried those. But where I live Ben's Schmaltz Herring is my favorite.

A Rebbe is a tzaddik, not an icon for flavored herring.
