When you 'refer-a-friend', how long does it take for them to receive the referral email?

According to the rep I spoke to, today is the last day to apply and get approved and get the double cashback.

I just opened a chat and was told the offer is good through July.

Just spoke to another rep who said that they don't know when it's going to be over.

Lesson: don't wait until the last minute to send the "refer-a-friend" email :)

IME it was instant. But if it's not going instant just hit the twitter option then hit connect with twitter and it will give you a link just copy that and email it yourself.

I don't have a twitter account, though.
When I called they said it could take 24-48 hours to get the email.

You don't need one. You don't have to actually go thru with tweeting it, it will take you to a log in page with the text of the tweet on the top, just copy the link off that page

Btw it works with chase also and chase can take up to a week to receive the email so it's good to know this workaround sometimes.

Discover wants some kind of documentation for anyone who's a "college student"... any way around this if I don't have any?

Can I cancel the app and start over, and just write unemployed?

I didn't send anything in and they send me the card a couple of weeks later anyway.

With me they said they needed docs but sent me the card anyway a few weeks later. I would still try to send in Yeshiva docs though. If they say no, just get the regular card.

What do you mean by regular card?
I assumed you applied for the student card, because they're asking for College documents; so I was talking about applying for the regular, non-student, Discover It card. I realize now it looks like you applied for the regular card and put that you're a student.

Are you in a learning institution? They should be able to write you a letter that you are registered for this/next year.

I wanted to get the application in today, though, in case the double cashback promotion really ends today.

Anyone know if I can just ignore that app and start a new one?
