Hotwire Hot Rate
« on: November 17, 2014, 05:16:42 PM »
I'm looking into booking a hotel via Hotwire Hot Rate, but I'm very weary because of their non-refundable status. Has anyone had any experiences (positive or negative) which they'd be  willing to share?

Love it because you can usually figure out the hotel...if you can't I wouldn't book

Never had a bad experience, just know that you can't regret or cancel.

Just booked for next weekend: Sheraton New York Times Square, $269 per night everywhere else, $137 all-inclusive (tax and travel insurance) with Hotwire. They are running a special right now: $30 off any 4 star hotels booked with Hotwire Hot Rate.

i reserved a car with hotwire hot rate.
i realized right after that i a full size is not what i want, but will need a different car and found similar rate on sixt's website for mercedes and bmw/ volvo class for same price.
I tried cancelling a few hours after booking it and spoke to supervisor but to no avail they wont cancel.
I booked it with my sapphire preferred card, can I dispute it with chase?
If yes what do I tell chase about this? any advice is very much appreciated.

I have a friend who booked an Express Deal with Priceline and wasn't so happy with the hotel he got. He saw that the hotel was pet-friendly, and his wife is allergic to dogs, so he called them and they refunded it.
I don't know if any of that is applicable in your situation, but think on those terms and maybe Hotwire will listen.
