Broadway Show Discount tickets
« on: January 11, 2011, 12:39:14 PM »
I need to buy tickets to Jersey Boys as a gift, no shailas about kol isha, etc.
Aside from TKTS or this 50% promo running at the end of January on all broadway tickets, does anyone know of a cheap way to get tickets?

Do they have exclusive deals? Otherwise what says you can't find the same deals elsewhere for free?

what 50% promo?

I assume he means this: http://www.seasonofsavings.com
Not a very big selection though. (IMHO)

I'm looking for 'The Lion King' tickets in NYC. The cheapest I have found were on http://www.ticketmaster.com for about $100 including all fees. Not a great steal but reasonable.

'The Fantasticks' is a great play IMHO. it's the longest running musical and has great songs. It plays in a very small theater and you literary sit right on the stage. Of course my wife and I had the luck to sit right next to a older yiddel from the upper west side who grew up with the original (jewish) producer. He gave us a full detailed biography about him, (married a shiksha, died from yenah machla etc. etc.) He literary did not stop talking. He even bought us drinks during the break  :)

(Don't really know if this is the right place to post this but I didn't want to start another unnecessary post.)

Any specific CC's I should be using for booking Broadway Tickets ?!

Broadway box is an amazing website for broadway, off broadway and attractions in NYC. I have been using them for over 4 years. just click on whatever you want to see on the left side and they will give you a coupon code.

Living Social and Groupon have deals. Cheapest tickets I found so far (not even through LS or GR but through Ticketmaster directly) are $60 after fees for the back row of Mezzanine on Sunday nights (that's the cheapest night). Use AMEX Checkout for $10 off to make it $50. I heard that even the back row of the Mezzanine can still see everything, but obviously it won't be the same as being closer.
