It is possible to cancel subscriptions to The Economist at any point for a pro-rata refund if you decide after a couple of months that it isn’t up your street.  This might lead to a very good deal indeed ….

What did you last value avios at? 1.9?

If you cancel early you can essentially get them for free. How's that not a good deal? That's essentially a one way cross country ticket for free.

If you want just a roundtrip zone 1 award, consider going for the other subscriptions on the right, 9k avios for $127/year.

Signed up for a few accounts and got some of the points but didn't get for every subscription.  Is any1 in the same situation ? Did anybody contact economists about this ?
