Selling GC tips.

Giftcardgranny.com and giftcardwiki.com are good aggregators for best rates. Be wary of selling on Ebay as buyer can put in a false claim that it was empty and you can get screwed.

Cardpool:
Verification: 415-419-8787 between the hours of 1230pm - 930pm ET. Have your order # ready.
Offers an extra 6% if taken in the form of amazon GC and will also pay quicker than a check.
If you haven't heard from them give them a call it may be stuck in verification. Large total value is a trigger.

GiftCardZen:
Will cancel the full sale if one of the GC are incorrect.

In general if an order gets cancelled, it's possible those gc are *tarnished* and you may have trouble unloading them. It is possible these sites communicate with each other in this regard as well. In this case you can do the PITA method of using the GC to buy/return items and get a new gc issue.

The initial offer is always for less than quoted on the site or GC Granny for ABC.  It updates when I put in another card(s) so that I need to put in an additional card I'm not selling, anything, then X that card off the order.  Then when I put in card codes and submit it often spins and doesn't load confirm page or submit the sell order.  Also, I've been getting confirms that reflect everything x4 - the number of cards, x4, the total value (both paid and notional sent) x4.  The email I get has the right amounts.  It hasn't been a problem, I just write a note on the confirm I'm sending, it's just weird.  Using Chrome browser, might be a series of tech issues I guess.

Got an email today exactly one week after they marked the cards received (USPS showed them delivered the friday before) that they have sent the check.  I preempted any identity checks by requesting all forms while my cards were en route.  This might have sped up the process... Still 7 days to process cards and payment is reasonable I suppose.

Today is a week later and still no check...

yeah, just reporting for my own peace of mind.  Def told myself i'd even give them til Friday mail, almost two weeks.  Even when they "send the check" im sure it goes through authorization, accounting, mail department, etc.

It's funny though, where the rates are 1-2% off I will give preference to resellers who I've had prompt service from, even when 1-2% cuts my margins.
