Selling GC tips.

Giftcardgranny.com and giftcardwiki.com are good aggregators for best rates. Be wary of selling on Ebay as buyer can put in a false claim that it was empty and you can get screwed.

Cardpool:
Verification: 415-419-8787 between the hours of 1230pm - 930pm ET. Have your order # ready.
Offers an extra 6% if taken in the form of amazon GC and will also pay quicker than a check.
If you haven't heard from them give them a call it may be stuck in verification. Large total value is a trigger.

GiftCardZen:
Will cancel the full sale if one of the GC are incorrect.

In general if an order gets cancelled, it's possible those gc are *tarnished* and you may have trouble unloading them. It is possible these sites communicate with each other in this regard as well. In this case you can do the PITA method of using the GC to buy/return items and get a new gc issue.

I just got dinged 20.75 for a $25 GC i sold to ABC/Cardcash for it being reported no good.  I don't know if there is recourse for sellers but I can assure you (and them) that I didn't retain the GC number and use it after I sold it.  Think I'm about done with them.

Why did they only charge you 20.75 for a $25 gc?

Did you contact them?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

They took $20.75 from a recent payment to me b/c that's what they previously paid me for the GC.  I have tweeted to them which usually gets a response but I'll have to call/email today.  It was ABC/Cardcash, physical card.

They shorted me more than once and there is no one to talk to. I stopped buying GCs to sell to them. They wouldnt buy back a GC that they sold on eBay either.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Email dansdeals@cardcash.com

I've always gotten the best/quickest response from there.

Is it just me or is Cardcash/ABC inventory for buying terrible these days.  I really only like to deal with them b/c of their protection policy and obviously 5x... But it just seems like they never have retailers i'm looking for these days.

not just selection, but discount has slipped as well. I will only buy gift card for minimum  15%-20% off (not worth hassle for less than that), and I feel like they have tried to increase margin so much less deals than before.

I will say that I have used CardCash many times in the past without issue.

Raise.com is refusing my payout until I send in my id and tax forms. Had this happened to anyone and is there any way to get them to make them pay without giving it to them? Pm's welcome.

disclaimer: I am a newbie here :)
I received a $100 gift card from Nordstrom that I wanted to sell to cardpool and I noticed they offered me 92$ a few weeks ago. I only had a chance to actually sell it now and I saw that they lowered the price they were offering.. is there a best time to try to sell gc (ie should I wait till Jan..)?  thanks!

Presumably they only offered it for mailing in physical card, but even so,  I wouldn't rely on such a high payout returning.

Welcome. Fluctuations are normal and not so predictable. Search different sites (giftcardgranny makes that easy). Also there are often threads in the goods for sale board on ddf for buying and selling GC at better rates than the sites (on both ends). Here's the nordstrom thread: http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=64841.msg1561978#msg1561978

I think this is a topic that is worth compiling some information for reference so I added a wiki with some starter information from recent experience. Please feel free to edit and add to it.
