No.  The primary driver will need to be present.

Anyone have any experience with the Verizon code? Is it meant for employees only? Is JFK known to be strict with codes?

How good is the code? Better than Honeywell?

don't know how this happened but heres the situation. just logged in to my profile, and my birthday is a year older than I really am. (this actually makes me 25 in the system now). in order to change it online, I get this quote "Requests to change a Name or Date of Birth require a signature and legal documentation. For more details, call Emerald Club Member Services."

1) if I keep it, do they ever check the birthday in the system? any data points on that? because if not, I save myself an underage fee...(ive never rented with national yet, but I'm executive elite)

2) if I do switch, how big of a deal is it?

Yes.
Won't be able to get a minivan from any of the big companies. Probably the same with the smaller ones.

What about a Heimish company?

For an additional driver, that could work*. Just make sure to use a corporate code that waives underage and gives free additional driver.

*My one experience with a similar situation was before I turned 25, I had a reservation with Enterprise in Brooklyn for a premium car. When I got there the agent said he can't give me a premium since I'm under 25.
I asked him if he can switch the reservation to have DW (over 25) as the main driver, and have me be secondary.
He said that would work, as spouses can drive for free as secondary without him adding anything to the rental.

Not sure if him adding me to the rental would've not allowed him to give us the premium.

I'm specifically asking about National as it's half the price of anywhere else. I can't find a heimish place that has.
I don't even really mind paying underage for him.

I've never rented with national before. Is there a reason to worry when it says "your reservation is confirmed. An email has been sent... Upon arrival please proceed to the national car rental counter" does it always say that? Or is it only because its the first time I'm renting?

Are there any legitimate corporates (ones that I can join), that offer free underage?
