I may be going to a conference and have no interested in anything related to the strip. Is it still possible to turn it into a mini vacation? Anything nature related nearby?
If it's not too far for you, I highly recommend Valley of Fire SP. Incredible.

Depends when you go. Most of the worthwhile hikes in VoF are closed starting 5/15 until October due to excessive heat: https://parks.nv.gov/news/seasonal-trail-closures-at-valley-of-fire-state-park-beginning-wednesday-may-15-2025

Where is the best place to stay for shabbos?

Townplace Suites about 10-15 minute walk from Ahavas Torah in Henderson
or

La Quinta Inn next door to YI Aish?

Henderson is the more established community.

UA usually flies one 757 a day with the old 2-2 biz config lie-flat

Still worth it without those hikes?
