Just to start off, I booked this ticket via the Etihad price mistake late last year. I am now trying to book a one way back via AA/Cathay for 55k business. However the Philippines has a rule that you must be present in the Philipinnes to book the ticket or pick up the ticket within 5 days. Has anyone ever hears of such a thing? Is there a way around it?

So here is the question:

I have a choice of either flying into Tokyo at 8PM and leaving the next day at 7:30pm with JAL Business or flying to HKG at 6:30 in the morning and leaving 7PM at night with Cathay Business.

What to do?

If you've never been to either, go to HKG

I don't believe that is true for all airlines.

I believe UA will ticket it, BA may (try online), AA you can do it there or wire funds.

Only seeing this now.

Been to BOB/MLE/SEZ and Amanpulo may have the nicest colored water of all and Aman service but its quite expensive and a bit of a schlep to get to

Would go as a side trip from HKG or MNL for a couple of nights for sure

I've long said that PPS is a place I'm dying to visit.

Could the water actually be nicer than BOB?
