Even if YQ doesn't change, total avios needed for BA on TLV-LHR-JFK in Y (32.5 OW if I'm calculating correctly) will go down, no?

ETA: Off peak

If I wanted to make a date change on a pre-devaluation booking. Would I now need to pay up the additional miles to reflect the new rate?

Just spoke with ba,they said that if I book a flight before the devaluation I can change the flight even after the devaluation without having to shell out more miles does this make sense

quoted from the BA thread....

MAN - BRU used to be 4500 Avios and $27, now it's 8000 Avios and $55. I thought economy is not being devaluated???

If that's true it would be fantastic, although unexpected.

Other blogs reported it works for date changes, not sure about destination changes. you could do the same by the UA devaluation, it's not surprising
