granted, i didn't notice the "JFK-LHR" portion, otherwise the question would not have been asked. having said that, all one had to do, was point to that part or highlight it, which would be a much more appropriate reply than "do you realize what this thread is about" comment.

either way, the answer is clear, so thanks.

I didn't mean to offend you and I apologize if I came off too harsh. I guess I'm just too much of a perfectionist expecting people to follow the conversation earnestly before asking questions.

Well in this case my parents didnt even mention flat tire or anything, they just went to the help desk and got a number to call to re book them on the next flight.. may be cuz it was heavy weather and many people there with this problem..

In any case everything worked out great, cuz all flights were delayed and for some reason there later flight departed before there original earlier flight.

Thanks to all again

Nothing to do with heavy e weather and no reason to go to a help desk. They could have just gone to a kiosk and it likely would have automatically put them on the next flight
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

no biggy, i can understand the frustration. i should have been more clear of my real question anyways, which is:

if one is traveling on a biz class award ticket internationally (lets say US air TLV-PHL on Feb 16, which is a once a day route), but really wants to fly on their flight on Feb 17, for which there is no award space. if that passenger is late for his flight on Feb 16, will they re-book him on the next days flight? (assuming there is biz class seats available on the feb 17 flight of course).
