For those that write the date DD/MM/YYYY, the rule only starts Nov.1...
The Aussies here at the buggy rental place on HTI  were desperately trying to figure out what 26/11/84 could possibly mean as the DOB on my license.

Wow, nothing about this on FT that I can find!

So what are the details, they'll match for 90 days and then how many flights do you need for each level?

i'm assuming they dont issue you a star alliance gold card when the match is 90 days, so how do you go about getting lounge access and other benefits?  anyone have experience with this with the united match?

If they adopt Uniteds policy it'll probably be 10k for Silver, 17.5k for Gold and 35k for Platinum.

But does Platinum have the same challenge as 1K? Seems unfair.

Did anyone ask how many you need for each level yet?
If someone can call them and ask that would be great, I'd like to update folks on the main site.

Why do you assume that?
because aa does the same thing, issuing a challenge.  and even if you take the platinum challenge which gives you gold right away, they don't issue you a card.  (even though that could be because they assume you'll shortly be platinum... but i dont think so)
also, i just don't think it makes sense for them to be sending out status packages to everyone that has it for 90 days    i'd love to be wrong though.   anyone know?

What AA does has nothing to do with CO.
I'd bet CO would give you a card.  You can print one up either way form your account.

17k for gold, spoke to them today. seems the US call centers are up to date. (maybe the swiss centers are still behind?)

Silver and Gold are probably same as United.
But I wonder if Plat is the same as 1K with 35k?

Considering top-tier in the new program will require 100k, makes sense that the challenge will be same as United.
At least they don't charge like AA...

There will be 4 tiers in the new program.  The current Plat level is just tier 3.  They don't match to Plat1K with SWU's.
