I made a reservation for a seven seater minivan in JFK for 390 for one week. I ended up taking a flight which landed five hours start my pick up time. I called national the day before and they assured me that they hold the reservation for 24 hours.
I arrived at the counter and they said that they were out of minivans and have me a full size suv and charged me 200$ for the upgrade b/c I was late for the pickup.
I spoke to the manger and she very politely told me to like it or leave it. Unbelievably condescending and rude.
Thoughts?
