Changing my IP with optimum

How do u change your IP address with an optimum supplied modem and optimum router. There is no way to change the mac address of the router ? I want to do this without havinng to call them or without having my PC/router  off for 48-72 hours. TIA (and for those wanting to know why I need to change my ip address its obviously not because I want to show what an anav I am when I visit shiurim web sites that I only go there once)

Get a router that allows you to change the MAC address of the WAN port.

Just want to clarify, there are 2  things being talked about over here 1. Mac Address 2. IP address. A Mac address cannot really be changed at best it can be spoofed, Its basically a serial number. When you talk about changing your IP I imagine it is because you are getting banned for trying to scrape a site. What you need is to rent some proxy servers and have them run in parallel. 5 is usually more then enough for the average small businesses.

Don't open it with a computer that ever touched Amazon or with a router that ever connected to Amazon.

To answer your question (and OP), unplug the Optimum modem for 24 hours and you will get a new IP.
Shabbos is the perfect time. But to answer your real question:

If you are using the same computer/phone, you should be using a VPS like Virmach. A new IP, or a VPN is not sufficient.
