All jokes aside, the moral of this thread is that you should not trust someone just because he/she/they/it is a DDFer. Investigate before you put yourself at risk. Take into consideration the number of posts and the content of those posts (and your gut feeling).
Contact Henche if you got scammed.

The big problem no one has mentioned yet is that while other sites do have ratings such as eBay, eBay only allows you to pay feedback if you purchased from the seller. That stops bogus compliments. Since all transactions on this site are OTR, there is no way to stop people from manipulating approval ratings.

If you think eBay feedback cannot be manipulated then your apparently not an eBay seller.
Besides for the point that this is not freaken eBay!

Correct you are! I'm not an eBay seller although I still know that their system isn't fool proof and can be manipulated.

All I'm saying is, that even if in theory it would be a good idea to have a rating system, practically, it won't work as there is no way to verify if the rater ever had an encounter with the one being rated, or maybe he's just a good friend who believes in Chicago style voting.

I heard that CV guy did many trades with DDF members and can be trusted. I personally have not traded with him.

Giving too much power to one person sounds risky. How about a HM/CV/CM partnership?

I would have to split the 5% three ways and overseeing trading is not my cup of tea.
