For the signup on the Chase Marriot Rewards, does the free Category 1-4 hotel work for any of the Ritz Carlton hotels, as Marriot points generally do?
I had that question half year ago as far as I gathered it looked like you can't.
But it wouldn't hurt to PUTPAC & update us!

I would think you would need a RC to be in a cat 1-4. Are there any RC in cat 1-4?

Yes.
Is that the only way to combine points (from a spouse) if there is a reservation in place?

Is there a location for it on DDF? (Like for the IHG certificates)
If not, what's the easiest way? Mileage brokers?

Just FYI:

Applied about a month ago for the public 50K/1K offer, SM'd a few days ago and was matched for the 70K/2K offer.
Yesterday, I saw that some were matched for 80K/3K, so I SM'd and was just matched.

If I decide It's not worth it for me, right now, to spend 1K for another 10K, I could always do the 70K/2K, I guess.

If you don't mind sharing what were the time frames for SMing?
Were they done after spend? Before Points posting? and so on.
I want to do the same thing now.
