Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

Once you get the anniversary Category 1-5 certificate, it stays in your account, even if you cancel your card and don't pay the AF.

Anyone convert the category 1-4 certificate to points (without having a price mistake reservation as a bargaining chip). I called up and got a no go. I'm going to HUCA but wanted to know if anyone might have some more guidance so I'm not just shooting in the dark.
Don't think anyone reported that.

My AF due now. Is it worth keeping open for $85?  I get a free night, correct?

you should be able to pay af and get free night certificate deposited into your account and still be able to close card to get annual fee back.

If the AF is due now, that should mean that your free night is already in your account.

I have two free nights. I just got the bill for $85 for the card. Is it worth renewing the card?

How do u have 2 free nights??
U can ask for retention, but Imho it's worth unless u wanna churn or any other reason but money wise it is a card worth keeping.
