50,000 points after spending $1,000 in 3 months:
http://www.dansdeals.com/go/marriott1/

Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

80K

Cool, can you tell me on what guidelines. Are there still 80k offers in branches, is the spend higher?

Had to reply to Chase to confirm the 80k offer match, and decided to have a little fun today. :)

--------------------------------
Dear Chase,

I am pleased to inform you that I have succeeded spending $3,000 within the first 3 months of opening
my account and I am therefore eligible for an enrollment offer to receive 80,000 points.

As I was instructed in our previous communication, I am replying with this information in order to process
my offer.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center, of course. ;)

Thank you,

Welder xxxxxx

Just got this card with the 50k link.

When I call up now to have them expedite the card, they tell me they see my application is still pending, and it's not showing up in my online accounts area yet. Anyone had this, I got the instant approval message, and credit line of 5k. The app status line tells me I will be notified in approx 2 weeks.

Nothing really to do. Southwest card is also co-branded and that card showed up instantly in online-accounts.

No, that is probably the reason, should have linked my Marriott account, was too lazy to find the number.

Marriott points IMO are undervalued by most people.
I found very decent places in great locations (eg. Miami) that have redemptions between 1.5cpp to 2cpp.

Marriott has WAY more hotels than SPG, Hyatt, etc. You can find Marriotts everywhere.
And they also have way more high-end hotels in prime locations.

Definitely makes me reconsider transferring Chase points to book.
And makes the SPG 25k look extremely lousy compared to 80k Marriott.
