Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

For your 144k marriott points you should still be able to get the full 25% bonus, most you would get is about 15.5k bonus.
Checked the exact number and I have is 14376 Marriot points.  Looks like I have to spend bit more and make it 144K to transfer 112K & 32K to United.

How many UA miles I should get with the 25% bonus and 20k max deal for 144k Marriot points?

Thanks

You would only get a bonus on transferring 136k, because bonus amount only goes for transfers of 5,000 United miles and up. So if u transfer 136k u will get 75,000 and for 144k you will get 77,000.

It seems from some posts online that the lower offers such as 70k and 50k do not come with
yearly fees. Is this true?

Someone posted that he applied for the lower point offer and got them to
match the higher amount. So he doesn't pay the yearly fee.  Anyone know if this works? Is it hard to get them to do match it?

IIRC the 80,000 offer doesn't have a first year annual fee either.

It does; and according to the FT wiki for this card, all 50k and  70k point offers w/o the AF are gone

i found on marriotts website by dummy booking an offer for first year af waived plus $100 statement credit and 40k points after $2000 spend
might be worth applying with this link and then matching so you get the fee waived and $100 back

Any idea what the likelihood of success is to get it matched  from 40k to 80k?

Is there a concept of "using up Chase churns" (saw a post to that effect from a few years back)? I currently have the Marriott card open but want to close and reapply for the current 80k. Am I "using up" churns?

I don't think there is a worry for that.

I just realized it was actually Dan... Lol

Not a bad offer, but I'd rather save my Chase churns for more valuable currencies than Marriott.  Not really a fan of their program.  30K CO+$50 cash back+fee waived is much much better than 50K Marriott+$65 fee.

I don't think he was insinuating there was a limit to the amount of churns. Rather he didn't care to throw it in during a churn and chose to get other cards.
