How long after I get my email for my anniversary does it take to get my free night? Tia

I opened my card on 11/15/2015 and got the free night email on 11/15/2016. FWI the email subject was "You Have Earned Your Free Night". I booked the free night and cancelled my card a week later to get the AF refunded.

I think that's only for UR, CMIIW.

that should work, as long as its not too late for the current statement.

Why not both? Lol. Marriott is subject to 5/24. Marriott biz isn't. Its the same amount of points after spend. Difference is that Marriott only requires 3k
Spg =25k bonus+5k spend= 30k
Marriott 80k bonus+ 7½k AU bonus +3k spend = 90k which = 30k spg

By virtue of SPG, I am a member of Marriott rewards.  I have no Marriott CC.  I received an email solicitation to apply for the Marriott card and get 5 points per dollar spent up to $30k.  Email is silent as to sign up bonus.  Any idea if I get both the signup and enhanced points?

Don't think you can get both as they are separate cards for now. Maybe you can switch after you do the bonus spend? Time will give us DP's on that

Seems that the 5X is better than the 80k bonus, and better than SPG.  SPG converts 1-3 into Marriott, so earning 5 for each $ is better than using SPG.  What am I missing?

Because you would have to spend 48,000$ to catch up. For signing up you get 80,000+7,500 for an AU, +2,000 on the actual spending. 90k Marriott > 30k spg.

For every dollar you spend on spg, that's 3 Marriott points, so with this card you're really only gaining .6 spg per dollar spent. To beat an offer of 30k spg, u have to do 50k of spending.

I don't mean the SPG bonus.  I have the SPG cards.  I mean the 80k signup vs. 5x--I have no Marriott card.

It is better to get the 80,000 point offer because you get around 90,000 points with just 2-3K spend. Then you can put the rest of the 30K on your SPG or other card you use for everyday spend.

Check this thread.
