50,000 points after spending $1,000 in 3 months:

Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

I recently got the Marriott Business card and I'm closing in on the 3K spend required for the bonus. Will Chase let me PC to the Ink Preferred after the bonus posts? I'm over 5/24 and I'd like to refer my wife for the Ink Preferred so we net 100K UR points.

Not sure if anyone can help with this scenario:

.  Applied for the Chase Premier Plus card on August 14  -- was not instantly approved but told they were processing it
.  Was sent a letter (dated August 16) indicating they wanted to verify that I applied for the card
.  I was out of town so didn't call them back until today (Sept 3) and was approved on the phone

Will the post August 26th eligibility rules apply to my card?  Since I applied before the rules, I am hoping the pre-Aug 26th cross ineligibility rules won't apply

***EDIT*** UPDATE************************************************************************
I SM'ed Chase and they replied that since I applied prior to August 26th the old rules would apply.

it doesn't matter when you applied as long as you got the bonus then you are under the new terms. There was a 3 day window when the terms didn't apply but now they do

Does the free night with the Marriot Premier Plus stay on your Marriot account if you cancel the card? When redeeming, cn you choose to redeem the Marriot free night and not the SPG free night?

I recently applied for Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Business card and the Freedom Unlimited Business at the same time and got denied for the Freedom,, Though thats the one I wanted more. Marriott card was on a whim, cuz I don't need it for hotels - I already have an SPG Business and SPG pers. I was thinking the 75K bonus worth it even if just transferring to airlines and some of their bonus categories are good (4x gas etc)
The reason for denial of the Freedom was   -   too many cards open already and/or too many recent requests.

Has anyone had experience with this - as I'd like to request cancel the Marriott and just get Freedom.

You can't reverse the application, so it'll be pointless to cancel, but you can try to recon...

I SMed chase to get the 50k bonus for upgrading to new card. My annual fee is now due. What is their policy about refunding or prorating the annual fee?
Does the free annual night go by date signed up or calendar year? Thanks.

I see that my free night just posted for a max of 25k before I upgraded up to the new card. Will the change to max of 35? Issue an additional cert.?

Will I lose my Marriott points if I downgrade/cancel my card (to a no AF Chase card)? I have no real use for this card after the merge with SPG. TIA!

No, your points will become subject to the regular Marriott terms, which I don't know off hand. Probably need to have some activity one every 18-24 months. I believe there is(was?) a no AF Marriott card though.

Does having the old Marriott (premier) disqualify someone from getting the new signup bonus on the Chase Bonvoy card (soon to be 100K)?

I just noticed that my Marriott points expire in a week. Is there anything to do to keep them active? Besides for reactivating.

You can try calling, but your points will probably expire before you get through to them #bonvoyed

How long should it take after the annual fee was charged until the new free night posts to my Marriot account?

Can I use the free night award and then close my card and still get back my SF?
After spg devaluation, Beside the free night (and general Amex perks) is it worth to keep the spg cards?

I have an old Marriott Chase CC I never upgraded to the new Premier Plus card. I also have an SPG Biz Card. I recevied both bonuses over 24 months ago but the cards are still active. I am in the process of cancelling both right now.

Can I get the 100K Marriott Bonvoy bonus today?
