Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

I got 50K offer so this seems good.

There should definitely be a Marriott thread. There are tons of new threads about the card with just 1 question asked and like 1 answer. Then it dies, till someone else starts a new thread to ask their Q.

Marriott card + 70,000 points
« Reply #26 on: November 07, 2013, 10:24:08 PM »
Wanted some advice. I got a card from Marriott in the mail about getting the premier credit card, spend 1000 in 3 months and get 70,000 points. I already have 20,000 so that would bring me to 90,000. (I believe it's the same offer on their website without getting a card in the mail). Anyway, is it worth getting the "hit" and getting the card and miles? I didn't notice this in any other thread. If it is, please point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I left out that I'm a silver elite as well. Again, any advice on the above? (Got the silver elite via match)

Don't remember how I matched - it was all Dan's fault! I spent a week just matching where I could based on threads hereabouts.
As far as rooms, or gelt, etc, that's why I'm asking for advice. Should I take a hit for this card and end up with 90,000 or just save up for the next great AA or Starwoods promotion. Is it worth it? I also liked the way they sent me a "special" offer in the mail that is identical to the one everyone can get online at their site.

Received the cc from marriott with the free category 1 to 4 room which is good for 6 months.
Will not be anywhere but israel which only has 1 category 6 hotel.
Is there anyway to trade up or what else can I do

With the recent new rewardsplus program 114k marriot transfer into 50k united
So this could be a good way to stock up on united points by signing up
For the united 55k and the marriot for another 30k in a 2 bm

Hi everyone.

I have 50k Marriott points. Can anyone tell me how I can get the biggest bang for my buck out of them? I am not interested in staying at any hotels any time soon..

YMMV. On the phone they wouldn't match to 70K offer, but would match to 60K.

SM worked! They said they'll add the extra 10K to match to the 70K offer! Thanks Marco :)
