50,000 points after spending $1,000 in 3 months:
http://www.dansdeals.com/go/marriott1/

Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

Where did you see it. Its not on chase.com.
I have the marriott card and id love to churn it for the 70k but its only been 2 months since my last pull. Do you know if this deal will be around for any period of time?
You can just SM Chase after applying and ask to get matched to the 70K offer.

I recently applied for the 50k offer and smed and got matched to 70k,

I smed again to get matched  To 80k offer- and was told I will be matched after I spend 3000$ (as the 50k only needed $1k spent) ,

Is 10k bonus miles worth spending 2k on this card?

Approximately how much do you get per point when booking a room with points versus with cash?

That is so relative.. Go to marriott.com and check how many points it costs to stay at the hotels YOU like.
Also check YOUR finances and see how easy/hard it is to spend 2k...

So I got the card(s). I called them because this one is for 80,000 with one free night after spending 3000 in 3 months and first year fee of 85 not waived. Then I got in mail 70,000 for spending 1000 with no first year fee. SO they said they'll send me a letter. Got the letter. It says they won't change it to 70,000. I'll get 80,000 for 3,000 3 month spend. They also said NO fee for first year. On that I'll just wait and see.

I just applied for Marriot and received the card. It was for 50k. I understand if I SM to get it matched to 70k then it would work (thanks Marco.) I just want to know (before I SM) - what's the deal with the 80k offer? I am a little confused by the posts above. Can someone sum it up? Thanks

The 80k offer is for spending 3k so if you you want to spend another 2k for 10k points ask them for that offer. If you ask to be matched to that offer you won't be charged the usual first year fee for the 80k offer

Do you need to get a new Marriott Rewards number to receive the bonus if you already had the card once? (Like Chase United)

I think so. Did it change in the last year or so? Besides for the fact that the new card is metal.
