Users are reporting that Chase (ask via SM) will agree to match the 70k offer (or even 80k, apparently) if you spend $3,000.

That sounds awesome! 2-7 nights? 7??? How? each booking is 10k?  And I haven't received any certificates yet... Had Marriot of 3 months...
they don't send you a certificate in the mail they deposit it to your account. You can see it when you log in to your account online
I try my best :-\

There are Marriotts that are only 10K, not sure if any in NY.
there are Marriotts as low as 7.5k. As far as 10k, there are plenty throughout NJ. I am making a Shabbos Sheva Brachos in a nice courtyard which is only 10k

My certificate expires in 3 months! I won't be America by then - is it possible to transfer/sell it to someone? If so, how much does it go for?

And are there any marriots currently in Israel?

Thanks

the only way to transfer to someone is making him a reservation from your account
I haven't heard of anyone paying for it
there are 2 Marriotts in Tel Aviv but I think that both are higher then cat 5

Yes. Had to wait the entire month. Points just posted, but of course only the initial 50K. I called to find out what happened to the last 20K (which they agreed to in SM) and they said that takes another 4-6 weeks. I asked them to expedite it bc of my honeymoon and they said they'll put in a request...

Darn, my statement just posted and no points, apparently the last 200 of the spend threshold is still pending.  I need the points for my honeymoon in one month, any ideas?

Call them up, see what they can do. For pending $, I got Chase to push my bonus through but that was for a Chase card (SP) and the reason was to visit grandfather shortly after grandmother passed away. Prob YMMV with the rep. Maybe you find someone who says awww it's your honeymoon? Sure I'll help. Although, again, pushing UR points through might be diff than Marriott.

I contacted them a couple times and they all told me I needed to wait. And after I wanted - they still didn't transfer the other 20k so now I have to wait again. My reason was anniversary - but they didn't care, lol
