Just got out of the shower, I think I got the full feel and will begin writing the review.
Beginning with the suite, basically the suite is 2X the size of EK's, instead of having a 1-2-1 configuration it has a 1-1 configuration, some seats are window seats and some are aisle seats, where the seat is near the aisle VS near the window, some seats or forward facing and some face the back of the plane, I took the best suite of the plane, suite 4K.which is a forward facing window seat.
The suite is the most spacious suite by far, the seat is very comfortable, and very wide, you can control and adjust the firmness of the seat cushion, but the seat has one big drawback though, the seat barely reclines and doesn't have a foot rest, so your only choice is to either keep your feet on the floor or rest them on the ottoman.
The KSML was unacceptable, Stogal Y class meal, the hot meal was an omelet
.
I wasn't blown away with the lavatory and shower, after flying EK F on the A380, this is one area where EK beats EY, the Lavatory is only a notch bigger than regular Lavatories, and the shower space itself was also smaller, the EK F Lavatory and Shower space was larger than the Bathroom and shower in my house, an is filled with all types of amenities, from soaps, creams toothbrushes, combs and perfumes, VS the EY Lavatory which only had some soap and creams.
But for anyone that hasn't flown EK Suite, you'll probably still be impressed
.
The onboard Lounge area for J and F passengers is more elegant than EK, but smaller and doesn't have a Bartender or fruit and cake displayed, EK also has more Drinks on display. I'll post pics as soon as I can.
The Bed itself is the longest First class bed in the sky, if it's the most comfortable, that would be tough to say, but personally, still think CX F might be more comfortable.
The service on SQ, EY, EK, LH were all amazing, I'd have a very hard time listing them in order, from what I've experienced and read, it all depends on
the Cabin crew, all you need is one half nasty stewardess to blow the rating.
There were only 3/9 Suites that were occupied, atleast 2 of the 3 including myself booked with AA, I didn't ask the third guy how he booked, but the other guy who booked with AA was from Chicago and is a boardingarea reader.
The TV remote was the best I've ever came across, basically you can use it as a second monitor, set it to watch the flight path, watch movies, ETC..... the touch screen was responsive and about the size of an Iphone
The suite doors are a couple of inches higher than SQ, which makes it harder for someone to look in.
The WIFI was Free for F passengers, there was a WiFi Promo code in the headphones package otherwise it's 21.99 for the full flight.
The flight flew over Iraq, but went out of its way to avoid ISIS territory, keeping to the east of Baghdad then gradually moving west once reaching Kurdish territory which spans east to west of northern Iraq, then into Turkey.
To be continued.....
