Very disappointing. The KSML is a  Stogel Y class Meal .

I declined when offered to have my Y meal in F to be "presented nicely", that wouldn't have helped me.

I wonder if it's the caterer or the airline that is responsible for the Y meals in F.
(Not that i expect Stogel F to be any better)

Does Stogel even offer F meals?

i think one of the best mileage deals in the sky is LHR-AUH-MLE in EY F for only 40k AA one way

If you dont want to pay high UK taxes, you can leave from a different European airport
if you still want the A380 Product but dont wanna pay high taxes, try adding on an earlier BA leg, like from DUB, or BRU

also, maybe its just my bad luck, but in order for an AA rep to put together an EY award itinerary, (especially with a stopover, even less then 24hrs) it needs to be able to be marketed by AA for a cash flight. i've had issues with that when trying to do Europe-Asia routings with AA, they were only able to book for example, LHR-AUH, AUH-CTU as separate bookings, driving up costs.
