Warm gloves
« on: February 09, 2015, 09:30:49 PM »
I am looking for gloves that will keep my hands/fingers warm in the Canada cold. It has routinely been -22F here in Toronto with the wind chill, and my fingers have been freezing. I am willing to spend more $ on better gloves, but am looking for suggestions.

Thanks!

Doesn't look like it should be in the Deals thread ;) Maybe Just Schmooze?

-22F is crazy. Try looking for genuine leather or wool gloves with fur inside lol.

It's a technology actually, and I ran experiments as a kid testing them against other gloves. They are way less than $50.

You ran experiments? That sounds cool and hilarious. Mind elaborating how scientific those were and what the results were? :)

Take a balloon, put water and a thermometer  with a wire inside. Then put the glove in a freezer. Time the time it takes for the temperature to drop and compare your data with other gloves, you will have data on which glove has the best insulation.
